Mexico

Secretariat of Economy publishes foreign trade rules and general criteria in the DOF (Official Journal of the Federation), which lists all products by tariff number that must comply with a NOM at the point of entry into Mexico. The Norma Oficial Mexicana (Official Mexican Standard), abbreviated NOM, are Technical Regulations and standards, including labeling requirements, issued by government agencies and ministries regulating sales and imports of products to Mexico. Testing is required at a Lab approved by EMA (Entidad Mexicana de Acreditacion). Following successful testing, NYCE or ANCE or other accredited labs can issue the NOM certificate.
