Information Technology is one of the fastest growing industry. Often the term Information Technology referred to electronics and digital equipment for both residential and commercial use.
Examples of information technology include computers and their accessories, computer networks, landlines and mobile phones, data storage devices and most types of software. Information technology is any piece of software or equipment responsible for delivering, storing or sending information, most commonly text, images, video or audio.
Typical hazards by IT devises are risk of fire, electric shock or injury for the user being in contact with the equipment. It is important to design equipment that will be safe not only during the normal operating conditions, but also likely fault conditions, consequential fault and possible misuse in addition to the external influences such as temperature, altitude, moisture as well as over voltages on the main supply and network.
