European Union – CE Marking

CE Marking is a program devised only for products being sold for use in the European Union and other countries of European Economic Area (EEA). It is a program by which manufacturers can self-declare that their product is safe according to the applicable European Directives. The CE Mark is not a quality mark and does not show compliance to a standard, but rather a self-declaration showing compliance to the legal requirements of the European Directives. If there is any doubt that all requirements were fulfill, the following parties can challenge applied CE Marking and issued Declaration of Conformity: National Authorities, Customs Officials, Vendors, Competition, Users.
